Using the EcoStruxure Web Services Client

The EcoStruxure Web Services Client enables Citect SCADA to communicate with an EcoStruxure Web Services Server.

You can configure the EWS Server as an I/O Device, using the EWSCLIENT protocol. This will link tags to the configured device.

The Express Communication Wizard can be used to configure an EWS Server I/O Device however it does not support Tag Import.

You can associate a User Name, Password, and Authentication Method (default is digest with basic and anonymous also available) for the EWS Server I/O Device, using the Setup Wizard - EcoStruxure Web Services Client Setup. You may need a certificate on the client that is accepted by the server.

The address for this device uses the following format:

URL address is provided on the I/O Devices form, in the Address field. An example of an EWS Server address is http://myserver.com:2086/EcoStruxure/DataExchange.

You can then define the tags - referenced the defined I/O Device. Address is the name of the Tag in the EWS Server, e.g. 1&/Server 1/Modbus TCP Network 1/Device1/Registers/Tag1
