Project Database Parameters

Project database parameters can be used to set nominal defaults for parameters that are local to a specific Citect SCADA project, rather than a particular computer. For example, you could use the project database parameters to specify login requirements for all computers in a Citect SCADA system.

Note: Project database parameters are explained in full detail in the Parameters documentation (see Project Database Parameters).

1. In the Setup activity, select Parameters.
2. Add a row to the Grid Editor.
3. Type the required information in each column, or in the Property Grid (see below for a description of the properties).
4. Click Save.

If you set (or change) parameters in the project database, you need to re-compile the project before the new parameter settings are used.

Parameters Properties

General Properties

Field	Description
Section Name	The parameter section. Enter a value of 48 characters or less.
Name	The name of the parameter for which you want to define a value. Enter a value of 64 characters or less. Numeric and digital variables have a default value of 0 and string variables default to "" (empty string). If you do not specify a data type, the local variable will be treated as 16-bit integer.
Value	The value of the parameter. Enter a value of 254 characters or less.
Comment	Any useful comment (254 characters).
