Update Equipment

System Model > Equipment > Configure Equipment Types Using the Equipment Editor > Update Equipment

When you run an equipment update, Citect SCADA generates the tags associated with the equipment hierarchy and adds them to your project.

To run an equipment update from Equipment Editor:

Select Update Equipment from the File menu.

Or:

Use the keyboard shortcut Crtl+Q.

By default, Citect SCADA will perform an incremental equipment update that only includes equipment and equipment types that have been modified since the last update occurred.

If you disable incremental updates, Citect SCADA will regenerate every tag associated with the equipment hierarchy each time an update is run.

To disable incremental equipment updates:

Open the Citect SCADA Citect Studio.
On the Activity Bar, select Options. The Options dialog will appear.
Locate Incremental equipment update on the Options dialog and clear its check box.

Note: If you deselect the Incremental equipment update program option, an equipment update will take more time to complete. The time required to complete an update may increase significantly if a project includes a large equipment hierarchy.
